The Love Regained

He didn’t feel her as his mere colleague
The sparks between them had burnt bright
Even she couldn’t deny that
They had spent days together
That had been more intriguing
Than the merger they were both supposed to be working on
She was beautiful and loving
But she felt she wouldn’t be ever fit in any man’s life
Because of the scars past had imprinted on her memory screen
And she preferred to go unnoticed
Even in crowd
She so cleverly concealed from everyone
His eyes followed her
Wherever she went
He sensed the pain
The pain she silently endured
He knew there was more to her
Though she appeared mysterious
And he wanted to hug her
But was afraid of losing her
For he knew she couldn’t be his
As she was already taken
Then they drifted apart
As she no longer worked with him
But what’s destined can’t be avoided
For he bumped into her several years later
And now her relationship status had changed
The flame in him had never died
As she haunted frequently in his thoughts
And now he needed her to be by his side
And couldn’t let fate win in keeping her away
He approached her reluctantly
And asked her to be a part of his life
Was afraid she would decline his proposal
And prayed in his heart
That she would accept him
After much of thoughts
She wondered how this can be true
How can love knock once more
At her heart’s door
She found the love she always wanted in him
A caring compassionate partner
Who made her feel she’s on Cloud Nine
And life suddenly opened a new chapter for them
Where Love passed the test of times
And finally survived…
